Grading Procedures

Your child will receive grades in all subject areas. However, Math and ELA have major and minor grades. Major grades are weighted (60%) and minor grades are weighted (40%).

Grades are entered into PowerSchool once a week, and can be accessed using the Parent Portal. We HIGHLY recommend you getting connected to Parent Portal. This will allow you to follow your child(ren) throughout their academic years. If you need to sign up for Parent Portal, you can see Mrs. Goodyear in the front office. You will only have to complete this process one time. 

Davidson County Schools Grading Scale

Grades are as follows:

A: 100-90

B: 89-80

C: 79-70

D: 69-60

F: Below 60

If your child is out from school, they are responsible for completing any missed work within five days of returning to school. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND ANY WORK NOT TURNED IN WILL RESULT IN ZEROES.
